We live on the unceded traditional territories of indigenous nations.
About Us
World of Stories started life as lunch dates where Margrit and Eileen would share books, TV shows, and movies they’d liked. Their conversations were so engaging, they thought, “why not share with the rest of the world?” And thus World of Stories was born.
About Margrit Tapalaru (they/them)
Margrit has been going to school for many years, in spite of repeated decisions to stop. During those many years, M changed schools, changed roles, changed diapers, and tried hard to change the world. M still has not given up on the latter, even as the relationship between M and school turned precarious.
Mostly, M’s attempts to change the world have taken a written form. Here’s a list. After immigrating from Romania, M has settled in Toronto, the traditional territory of the Wendat, the Anishnaabeg, Haudenosaunee, Métis, and the Mississaugas of the New Credit First Nation.
Since being minoritarian is a given, this is a project in becoming vulnerable.
